Page Access levels & Roles for social channels
As I am working with a lot of clients, frequently client inquires about various Page Access levels & Roles for social channels. Clients’ at times feel insecure to give access to agencies.
Channels like Facebook and Google plus has offered multiple roles, however Twitter and Pinterest still requires to give the ownership in hands-on people managing your social presence.
As Page Access levels & Roles for social channels was a repeat question asked by a lot of clients, I decided to write down about all the possible access levels for various social channels here:
Facebook Page Roles:
Facebook has offered 5 roles with different access levels as per the need. Admins can only assign/change the roles of people. Below are the possible access levels:
- Admin – Manage page roles, Edit the page and Apps, Create and Delete Posts, Respond to and delete comments, Send Messages as the page, Create ads, view insights, See who posted as the page
- Editor – Edit the page and Apps, Create and Delete Posts, Respond to and delete comments, Send Messages as the page, Create ads, view insights, See who posted as the page
- Moderator – Respond to and delete comments, Send Messages as the page, Create ads, view insights, See who posted as the page
- Advertiser – Create ads, view insights, See who posted as the page
- Analyst – view insights, See who posted as the page
Google Plus Page Levels:
There are three types of admins for Google+ pages:
- Owners
- Managers
- Communications managers
Each page can only have one owner, but it can have up to 50 managers or communications managers. Adding managers allow you to share control of your page posting and settings with multiple people without having to share your personal login information.
Managers have all of the capabilities of an owner, except for particularly sensitive capabilities such as deleting the page or managing access. Communications managers have the capabilities of a manager, except for editing the profile, starting a Hangout on Air, or managing videos on YouTube.
Note: Adding managers, and communications managers to a page don’t make that relationship visible to the public or to those in the page’s circles.
YouTube:
Can add up to 50 Admins. Only one access level.
Twitter :
No page roles are possible at the moment. Only profile ownership is given.
Pinterest:

LinkedIn:
