I was wondering is this really a thing in SEO… so I searched for a few keywords in Google, and the results amazed me. Almost 55% sites that were actually ranking in Google have a really poor Page Speed score. But they are still ranking in 2021. I really need a proper answer to this. According to Google, 53% of visits are abondoned if the site takes more than 3 seconds to load.
For every brand, their goal is to get more sales/leads. Keeping that in mind, User experience actually take a toss if the page speed is low.
Now coming back to your question, The simple answer is that page speed does affect SEO. Page speed is a direct ranking factor, a fact known even better since Google’s Algorithm Speed Update. However, speed can also affect rankings indirectly, by increasing the bounce rate and reducing dwell time.

The short answer is that page speed will have a sway on SEO. Page speed may be a direct ranking element, as Google’s rule Speed Update has created clear. Speed, on the opposite hand, will have an indirect impact on rankings by increasing bounce rates and decreasing dwell time.
Users return initially at Google. In step with Google’s analysis, the typical 3G loading speed is kind of poor. Users leave the location after roughly three seconds, in step with the information. This means that their user expertise is poor, and Google doesn’t favor sites that deliver poor user experiences.November 19, 2021 at 4:52 PM #31139GamerseoParticipant
After the recent google updates, optimization of the loading speed is more and more important, so it is worth paying attention to it. From our experience, if your site is slow to load, it may currently lose position in search results. But this is only one of many factors, so if each side fails, it may more or less translate into the final result.November 23, 2021 at 10:09 AM #31144December 6, 2021 at 12:18 PM #31176
