I guess, Facebook is still looking at Whatsapp as a source to give rich information about mobile behavior of people, which is leveraged towards Facebook to sell ads. Any more guesses guys?

I’m not sure what the real answer is, but I believe they’re waiting for the right moment. They are now monetizing our data. When the time comes, they will also show advertisements.

It is important for companies like WhatsApp to protect their brand and intellectual property by preventing the use of modified versions of their application, which can cause confusion among users and potentially harm the company’s reputation.

WhatsApp’s decision not to advertise may be related to its focus on providing a simple and streamlined messaging service to its users, rather than generating revenue through advertising. This approach may help to preserve the user experience and maintain user trust, while also allowing
WhatsApp
to focus on other revenue streams such as business tools and paid features.
