Highlights of the event:

Open Mic: The event kicked-off with Open mic session where attendees performed with songs, jokes etc. RJ Apporva hosted the event in her filmy style.

Speaker Sessions: The sessions were started with Kiruba’s in his unique style of making users perform actions to keep them engaged. The very first session rocked the users & twitter was flooded with users’ tweets. Second session was taken by Mr. Sunil Palrecha from Germin8. The topic in itself was most awaited by brand managers in the audience.Sunil gave an awesome presentation about how to change the angry customers into brand advocates.

Rucha Bapat from Institute of Digital Marketing gave a insightful talk on Social Media as a career option. The students in the audience must have got answers to their tinkering questions.

  Light Dinner: We had 2 veg & 2 non veg starters along with a few beverages options to choose from. We found users enjoying the food & using the  networking time to the fullest. Networking over food always work 🙂

Sneheel a 22 year boy then took the stage. An amazing piece of energy ball, Sneheel was very confident while speaking. We could sense the users interest to the talk. Sneheel talked about how the stories works on Social Media & it spreads organically

Mohit Gundecha a graduate from Standford shared some live examples from his own startup Jombay. We could see people adoring him on their tweets.

The last session was taken by Nivedith G. A travel & food blogger talked about the dark side of social media & the mal-practices in industry. He also talked about the importance of influencers in promotions.

Center of Attraction: The Photobooth: Setu Advertising did an amazing setup of Photoboth with loads of props. We found people fully leveraging the opportunity. Even the speakers couldn’t stop themselves from the attraction of Photo booth.


Twitter Wall:

Germin8 being the analytics partner of the event provided a nice twitter wall for us. We had a live streaming of tweets with an showcase of most active tweeter.

Germin8 also published an infographic on the #SMDAYPUNE.

Conclusion:

It was a weekday & still we got around 300 marketing enthusiasts from Pune & Mumbai. We have got a very positive reviews from audience on our wall & on twitter. We are confident that next year for Social Media Day in Pune would be even bigger & better.
